The Black Sex Worker Cultural Archive (BSWCA) is the archival arm of The Black Sex Worker Collective (BSWC), a Berlin-based grassroots group by and for Black Sex Workers. Since 2020, we’ve collected magazines, films, art, and ephemera documenting Black Sex Workers’ global contributions. This challenge expands our work through:
Expert Collaborations:
Dr. Mireille Miller-Young (UC Santa Barbara), applying Black feminist archival frameworks.
Curator of Black Collections community driven archive – Jessica Salow (University of Arizona), building on her work with our 2025 Black Sex Worker Conference.
Confirmed Allies: Hydra e.V. (Sex Worker rights NGO) and International Women’s Space (migrant feminists).
Strengthen and deepen connections: Schuwles museum to support access and visibility. And build on past work such as the sex worker history exhibition With Legs Wide Open – A Whore’s Ride Through History
This is community-driven archival justice—centering those erased by mainstream institutions.
